So, as I make these final updates, I am at the gate waiting for my flight to LAX. The Boeing 747 that I will fly on is a specially-painted version. I love how I still get excited about silly things like that - it makes me feel like a kid again - haha! Now I need to go find somewhere to spend the last few Australian dollars that I have...The gate area is all blocked off with dividers and all sorts of crazy security stuff. There is a sign out in front of the gate that lists the added security measures that are mandated by the U.S. government for travel to the country. Oh well, one way or another, it's time to go home :).
